This is a pair of original Emeco Chairs, Model 1006, initially designed in 1944 for the U.S. Navy. These examples date to 2025 and the listed price includes the pair of chairs as shown. The chairs were built by hand from recycled aluminum in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Aluminum is an excellent material for seating as it is lightweight and is also naturally fireproof.
Each chair measures 15.5 inches long, 19.5 inches wide, and 34 inches high. The seat height is 18 inches. The pieces are stamped on the backs of their seats. There are some minor blemishes on the seats and the frames, but overall, this pair is in very good condition. Please see photos.
